Kairi’s vision became fuzzy as he held her to him.  Her whole body was warm and she wrapped her arms snugly around him. Kairi was always friendly, but her attraction to him had just blown up out of nowhere.

And she didn’t mind.

Her hands played with his red spikes of hair as she listened to his heart thudding in his chest. She didn’t know what to say, she just knew she needed to stay like this for as long as she could. But then she heard him. The blood rushed to her face as he spoke, and she shivered, her stomach filled with butterflies. She moved her head just enough so she could look up at him, “Axel..” she murmured, her eyes slightly glazed over.

He knew she had heard him when she lifted her head and spoke. His name falling off of her tongue sounded like angels and made his chest ache. He couldn’t pull his eyes away from hers, not that he wanted to. Crap, crap, crap. She heard me. He opened his mouth in an attempt to speak, to clean up the mess he had made, but the air caught in his throat and nothing come out. He just sat there staring, his mouth open and his arms trembling around the girl.

Kairi smiled, her eyes half lidded, and nuzzled his neck. “It’s okay.” she said, her fingers toying with his hair idly. She didn’t mean to make him uncomfortable. She pressed into him. “It’s okay. You don’t have to be nervous.” she said as she took note of his trembling.  ”I feel..  the same.” she said, blushing. Her mind was going into overdrive as butterflies filled her tummy. She wasn’t sure of much, but she was sure that she needed him in her life.  ”Axel.” she breathed into his neck.

The small amount of oxygen he had managed to take in came rushing out when she said those four words. Feeling her nose brush up against his neck tickled, but he couldn’t get enough of it. He couldn’t get enough of her voice, or her scent, and he didn’t think he ever would get enough. “You do?” He forced out. Not that he needed to hear her say it again, the memory would be seared into his brain forever. Kairi had managed to find her own place inside of his heart in the short time they had been together, and if she ever left him the pain would be too much to bear. Her breath against his neck when she said his name again sent a flare of heat throughout his body. His hand reached into her hair and his fingers slid between auburn locks, the movement of it causing her scent to drift around him again. He shivered and readied himself to speak again. "I think… I’ve fallen for you, Kairi.“
